Dental Insurance

We are a non-assignment office. This simply means that your insurance cheque will go directly to you and not to our office. Because the insurance policy is a private contractual agreement between you and your insurance company, you are directly responsible for the payment of our fees and therefore we do not make any guarantee or warranty of an estimated coverage. For your convenience, our friendly staff will be happy to keep your dental insurance information on file in order to assist you. We will electronically process your insurance claims and send pre-determination estimates to your insurance company so that you can directly receive reimbursement from them and also be informed about future treatment.

It is the patient’s own responsibility to collect from their insurance company. In many circumstances specialist fees are higher than most general dental practitioner fees. Our fees may not be fully covered by your insurance company. Also there are insurance companies that will only pay fees from the general practitioners fee guide and not from the periodontal fee guide. Every insurance plan is extremely different and therefore it is important for you be knowledgeable about your plan. (ie. The annual maximum of your plan, anniversary date etc.)

Your benefits are determined by your employer, in tandem with negotiations of the insurance carrier, to provide some assistance for payment of dental care. Dental insurance may offset a portion of the investment that is required for your health.
